St. Regis Monarch Beach Celebrates the Bloody Mary

The signature Agave Maria Bloody Mary at the St. Regis Monarch Beach

The iconic Bloody Mary turns 80 and the St. Regis Monarch Beach fetes the tasty drink by offering variations of the libation inspired by St. Regis properties around the world. This upcoming celebration is truly an LA sensation you don’t want to miss!

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the creation of the iconic Bloody Mary cocktail by bartender Fernand Petiot at the famed King Cole Bar at The St. Regis New York. Marking this mixology milestone, the St. Regis Monarch Beach is celebrating the St. Regis’ signature cocktail for 80 days from Memorial Day to Labor Day 2014.

Travel the world of the Bloody Mary by tasting a variety of St. Regis Bloody Marys (each St. Regis property worldwide has its own version inspired by its unique location) at the resort’s Motif Restaurant and Lobby Lounge. Whether it’s the St. Regis Monarch Beach’s ‘Agave Maria’ with Herradura Silver Tequila and green jalapeno, the Beijing property’s ‘Great Wall’ that replaces vodka with Tsingtao beer or the St. Regis Lanesborough, London’s ‘Bloody Smoke’ made with 10-year Laphroig whisky and topped with a pinch of cracked black pepper, the options are endless using Mr. Petiot’s original recipe as a basis. You may also opt to create your very own Bloody Mary, selecting from an abundance of potential ingredients. St. Regis Monarch Beach, 1 Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point, 949.234.3200.
