The OC Fair Takes Visitors “Home”Summer in Orange County wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the OC Fair. This year’s theme “Home Sweet Home” celebrates home, family and fun throughout the fairgrounds. New exhibits include Chocolate Unwrapped: Beans, Bars & Bon Bons, which explores all things chocolate and showcases professional chocolatiers from Irvine-based Xan Confections. Also new this year is an exhibit dedicated to September 11, 2001 titled Let Freedom Ring. As always, fairgoers can expect a range of exotic and fried foods, shopping exhibits, fun carnival rides, farm animals and produce, live music and a variety of family-friendly entertainment. Catch favorite musical acts of the past and present at the adjacent Pacific Amphitheatre. Headliners this year include Victoria Justice (Aug. 2), Heart (Aug. 9), Martina McBride (Aug. 10) and Duran Duran (Aug. 11). Fair festivities run through Aug. 12.
