Drive-In OC at City National Grove of Anaheim

Sept. 4, 6. Entertainment returns to Anaheim with this drive-in series at City National Grove of Anaheim. Attendees can watch live music, movies and more from the comfort and safety of their own vehicle. This weekend, grab your tickets see American Idol‘s season 17 runner-up Alejandro Aranda (aka Scarypoolparty) perform on Friday, followed by multi-platinum pop band Fitz and the Tantrums on Sunday. Sept. 4-7. While the theme park remains closed, Knott’s Berry Farm welcomes foodies to its outdoor dining and retail experience each weekend through September 13. Sept. 4-6. Save yourself the trouble of whipping up an at-home Labor Day menu and order yourself a ready-to-grill kit from Adya. Choose from two different two-person kits: the steak or seafood with veggies ($50); or the paneer or tofu skewers with veggies ($40). All grill kits come with roasted corn, chickpea and cucumber salad; basmati rice pilaf; naan; and mint chutney. Trailblazing Women of Walt Disney’s Animation with Mindy Johnson

Sept. 6. Bowers Museum presents a special virtual presentation with award-winning author/historian Mindy Johnson of the landmark volume Ink & Paint: The Women of Walt Disney’s Animation (Disney Editions). Watch Johnson take you into the hidden world of ink pens, paintbrushes, pigments, pencils, and pixels and the female artists that have formed Disney animation.
