June 7-9. Come see 50 of the best wooden-hull boats on the West Coast at the Balboa Yacht Club. Enjoy a day of fun on the waterfront in appreciation of the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of privately owned boats of all sizes, both power and sail. June 7. Pull up a chaise lounge poolside or get comfy on your own inflatable pool floaty to watch showings of your favorite blockbuster hits at Fashion Island Hotel. This Friday, the screening is Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Open June 8. Get a taste of authentic Korean bingsoo (shaved ice) at this new spot in Buena Park. Bingsoo variations at Mealtop include four classic ingredients: soft shaved ice, braised red beans, chewy rice cakes and sweet condensed milk. Additional offerings include lattes from South Korea (Bibibig Latte, Orange Latte and Babamba Latte) and desserts such as Ang Butter Bread.
