Wolfgang Puck’s name adorns everything from woks to restaurants in mall food courts. His new WP24 by Wolfgang Puck—on the 24th floor of the Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles downtown—proves that the master chef’s brand isn’t diluted by its massive scale. An expansive lounge leads to the restaurant, whose space features perforated light fixtures that mimic the skyscrapers seen out the panoramic-view windows. High notes of the menu—courtesy of chef de cuisine David McIntyre, a Spago vet—include “Not Too Classic” hot and sour soup with roasted corn, bao buns filled with crispy pork belly or foie gras (pictured), and crispy suckling pig with black plum sauce. The encyclopedic wine list features 400 labels, plus one dozen sakes. Inside the Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles, 900 W Olympic Blvd., downtown, 213.743.8824
