Mayer Hawthorne, a log-time Umami Burger fan, has teamed up with the restaurant to create Umami’s first artist-designed specialty burger, appropriately titled “The Hawthorne.” Representing Mayer’s signature style, ‘flashy but classy’, The Hawthorne features a signature Umami beef patty, cognac-infused parsnip puree, cognac fondue sauce, hatch chiles and crispy hatch chile straws.
Fans of Umami and Mayer Hawthorne were on hand Tuesday, Oct. 9, to sample the burger to the tune of DJ sets by Mayer and Billy Goods.
“The Hawthorne” is exclusively offered at Umami Urban for $13.
