Continuing. Cinespia cemetery screenings at Hollywood Forever Cemetery find crowds jostling for spots to watch cult films projected on a mausoleum wall. Street Food Cinema
Through Oct. 29. LA’s largest outdoor movie series, continues its 2016 season with over 60 screenings throughout through the end of October. Each even includes live music and a food truck fare. See website for show times and food offerings.

Rooftop Cinema Club
Continuing. The U.K.’s “Number One Outdoor Cinema Series” returns to the rooftop of the historic Montalban Theatre for its second season in LA. Enjoy street food from Farmer’s Belly while you take in Hollywood views and watch flicks from classic to cult to contemporary. Through Sept. 17. LA’s premier outdoor movie, food truck and live music event series is back all summer-long featuring the highest quality projection and sound on the largest outdoor movie screen in the West coast. Watch your favorites while enjoying a fine selection of gourmet food trucks and live indie music. Expect a wide range of movies like 500 Days of Summer (July 23 ) and Purple Rain (Sept. 17). 100% dog friendly. Check website for locations and ticket information.

Street Style Cinema at The Grove
Through June 30. Who What Wear and The Grove have teamed up to bring screenings of fangirl classics under the stars. Screenings include She’s All That (June 16), Pretty In Pink (June 23) and 10 Things I Hate About You (June 30). Doors 6:30 p.m., Movie 8 p.m. RSVP HERE. 189 The Grove Dr., L.A.

Dive In Theatre
June 13-Aug. 29. Join Mondrian Los Angeles and GEN ART at the Dive In. The 20-week film screening series features evocative, generation defining, cult classics and contemporary films at Skybar. Flicks include Swingers (June 13), That Thing You Do (July 25), Romeo and Juliet (Aug. 8), Julie and Julia (Aug. 22), Reality Bites (Aug. 29) and more. Beverly Hills Sunday Movie Nights
July 10, 24; Aug. 14, 28. Spend Sunday nights in the stunning Beverly Cañon Gardens enjoying classic and contemporary films. Bring your carry-out dinners from nearby restaurants and enjoy outdoor seating on grass and café tables (first-come, first-serve). Movies TBA.

Mr. C Poolside Cinema
Through Aug. 30. Enjoy an evening of dinner, cocktails, candy, popcorn, film and fun. South Lake’s Rooftop Cinema Series
June 25, Aug. 20. Head to Pasadena for South Lake Business Association’s 4th annual Rooftop Cinema Series. This year they are screening Star Wars: The Force Awakens (June 25) and fantasy adventure film Hook (August 20) in a unique open-air setting. Also enjoy DJ tunes and complimentary family-friendly activities including ping pong and hula hooping. Additional activities on June 25 include a Star Wars-themed costume contest with prizes and guest appearances from the Jedi Academy. View website for specific times and locations.

Malibu County Mart
June 25, July 2. The Malibu shopping destination’s 4th annual summer movie series invites families, shoppers, Malibu locals and movie fans to grab their beach blankets and picnic baskets to watch fun, family movies projected onto a giant outdoor screen. Movies in the series include Troop Beverly Hills (June 25) and Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (July 2). Screenings start at 7:45 p.m. Free. Malibu Country Mart, 3835 Cross Creek Rd., Malibu.

June 15, July 20, Aug. 17. Enjoy summertime flicks in the heart of Downtown LA, hosted by FIGat7th. Grab food and drinks at TASTE Food Hall and enjoy a free screening every 3rd Wednesday. DJ spins at Happy Hour at 6 p.m. Films begin at 7 p.m.

Outfest: Under the Stars at the Ford
July 13-July 17. Don’t miss five films depicting the rich diversity of human identity and expression, part of Outfest, the annual Los Angeles LGBT Festival. Movie titles TBA.

Hollywood Bowl

Sound of Music
June 24. The beloved sing-along is back at the Bowl. Come dressed in your favorite costume for the pre-show parade at 6:30 p.m. and get ready to belt out The Sound of Music’s iconic songs with host Melissa Peterman and thousands of other fans using the interactive fun-pack (provided). Film starts at 8 p.m.

Harry Potter
July 6. Relive the phenomenon in an unparalleled experience as the orchestra performs the magical score from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™ live to picture. 8 p.m.

Star Trek
July 8-9. Watch the blockbuster Star Trek (2009) in high-definition accompanied by a live orchestra and experience the soundtrack and movie like never before. 8 p.m.

The Black Movie Soundtrack II
Aug. 31. Earth Wind and Fire, Full Force and surprise guests join host Craig Robinson, Grammy-winner Marcus Miller and producer Reginald Hudlin to reprise the soulful encore event celebrating black cinema classics. 8 p.m.

John Williams: Maestro of the Movies
Sept. 2-4. With his unforgettable scores, John Williams has transformed film music and, this year, the Maestro returns to the Bowl to conduct music from his latest success Star Wars: The Force Awakens. David Newman joins to conduct classic film scores along with clips shown on the big screen. See website for times.
