L.A.’s highly anticipated contemporary art museum, finally opens the doors to its mesmerizing “veil and vault” structure on downtown’s Grand Avenue. Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, the space houses nearly 2,000 pieces from the Broad Art Foundation and the personal collections of philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad. Artworks by the likes of Andy Warhol, Ed Ruscha and Keith Haring are displayed across two floors of gallery space. A visible hovering vault, a lush outdoor plaza and soon-to-open restaurant, Otium helmed by French Laundry alum Tim Hollingsworth round out the complex, making this one of the most exciting destinations to arrive in the city since the neighboring Walt Disney Concert Hall debuted in 2003.
