The classic mojito is an all around favorite in Los Angeles. To make it a “Cali Mojito” sub agave nectar for sugar and always use freshly squeezed lime juice. Ask for it make with Caliche Rum at the Hotel Oceana Santa Monica, Pink Taco West Hollywood, Red O, W Hotel Los Angeles.
2 oz. Caliche Rum
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 oz. Agave Nectar
8 Mint Leaves
In a mixing glass, lightly muddle the mint, agave nectar and fresh lime juice. Fill glass with Caliche Rum and ice, and shake until well chilled. Strain into highball glass, top with the crushed ice, and garnish with a mint sprig.
