Hollywood Bowl’s Fireworks Spectacular

July 3-4. Celebrate good times—and Independence Day—with the ultimate hitmakers, Kool & the Gang. The disco-funk greats bring the party to the Bowl for two days at the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, while conductor Thomas Wilkins and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra perform patriotic favorites. Above the Clouds at SLS Beverly Hills

July 4. SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills—in partnership with DJ Skemaddox—present “Above the Clouds” Independence Day pool party. Sit atop Beverly Hills while sipping cocktails and listen to vibes from some of the hottest DJs in Los Angeles, including Skemaddox, Jena Red, On Deck, Mer Bear, and Zavala on drums. Marina del Rey Fireworks Show

July 4. There’s no better place in Los Angeles to see Fourth of July fireworks than at the marina! Enjoy dinner at waterfront restaurants in Marina del Rey with the amazing firework views. Charter a yacht for the ultimate close-up, or head to Burton Chace Park (limited entry after 5 p.m. only this year) or Fisherman’s Village for a family-friendly party atmosphere. Palisades Fireworks Spectacular

July 4. The annual fireworks pageant at Palisades Charter High School is back and will be presented once again by world famous Pyro Spectaculars. Gates open at 8 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m. Bring a blanket to sit on (no chairs allowed). No food or drinks allowed, and there will be no food or drink sales. $5 per person, free for ages 6 and under. Slab Barbecue | Takeout

Preorder by July 1. Have an Independence Day feast at home without breaking the bank, or a sweat, with Slab’s July Fourth package. You and the family can enjoy 1 pound of brisket, half a chicken and a choice between 1 rack of ribs (Tony’s or spare) or 1.5 pounds of pulled pork. To accompany the mains, guests receive of two large sides of their choice: coleslaw, potato slaw, baked beans, collard greens and mac ‘n’ cheese. July 2-4. For those who are celebrating at home, Black Angus Steakhouse is offering two different Fourth of July party platters that can feed up to 10 people. The first platter ($269.99) comes with the choice of two Steakhouse Starters platters, a garden salad with choice of dressing, top sirloin center-cut steaks (6-ounce per person), home-style mashed potatoes, fresh broccoli with garlic butter, and two dozen chocolate chip cookies. Pictured above is the second platter ($299.99) comes with the choice of two Steakhouse Starters platters, a garden salad with choice of dressing, four racks of barbecue baby back ribs, fire-grilled chicken breasts, home-style mashed potatoes, fresh broccoli with garlic butter, mac ‘n’ cheese, and two dozen chocolate chip cookies. Messhall Kitchen | Dine-in, Takeout, Delivery

July 2-4. Get together with friends and family for a memorable Fourth of July filled with American food and drinks at neighborhood favorite Messhall Kitchen. Available all weekend long, there’s a new, limited-time smoked beer can chicken special ($51) which includes a whole chicken, peel-n-eat corn, baked beans, red white and blue potato salad, housemade biscuits, and Kansas City barbecue sauce. Through July 4. Elevate your Fourth of July backyard barbecue with kits and baskets featuring premium steak from BOA Steakhouse. Options include a barbecue Wagyu burger basket (feeds 8), a DIY dinner for two, the Italian dinner for two and the Brooklyn dinner for two. Herbed chicken, salmon and Alaskan halibut are also available. The Waterfront | Dine-in

July 4. Looking to eat out? The beloved beachside destination, situated between Rose and Navy on the famous Venice Beach Boardwalk, presents a special Fourth of July menu for fans to come and enjoy. First up on the menu is a fresh seafood tower featuring a dozen Kumiai oysters, a dozen Mexican Gulf shrimp, snow crab claws, ahi tuna crudo, accompanied by saltines, drawn butter, cocktail sauce, and hot sauce.
