Towne Food & Drink opens in a 7,000-square-foot dining room in South Park’s Watermarke Tower featuring a virtual culinary dream team. Eric Hara of the Oak Room in New York and chef Ryan Morrison, previously of Scott Conant’s Scarpetta, head the savory department, serving bone marrow matzo ball soup, beef cheek pot roast with mini popovers, and other comfort-food items including wood-fired flatbreads and house-made pastas. Ex-Bottega Louie pastry chef Tamara Davis does the sweets, featuring revamped childhood favorites such as sorbet push pops and rum praline ice cream sandwiches. Beverage director Jason Bran hails from L.A. cocktail bar the Roger Room.
