The FIDM Museum presents its 25th annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design, celebrating the creativity of costume designers for film. The free Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising exhibition, on display through April 22, features more than 100 costume designs from 23 films of 2016 representing 40 Academy Award nominations. Nominated costume designs come from the films Allied, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Florence Foster Jenkins and La La Land. The museum show is the only one of its kind to annually pay homage to the creativity of film costume designers. Exotica: Fashion & Film Costume of the 1920s runs concurrently at the venue.
