Two acclaimed Los Angeles chefs, Noriyuki Sugie (Breadbar) and David Myers (Comme Ca, Sona), partner together to unite the local culinary community for back-to-back evenings of memorable dining and supporting victims of the earthquake and Tsunami in the Ibaraki Prefecture of Japan.
The 5-course prix-fixe dinners on May 16 and May 18 will be created by LA’s most renowned chefs including Sugie, Myers, Michael Cimarusti (Providence), Walter Manzke (Church & State), Jon Shook & Vinny Dotolo (Animal, Son of a Gun), Jordan Kahn (Red Medicine), Michael Voltaggio (INK), and Roy Choi (A-Frame, Chego, Kogi BBQ).
On May 16 at Breadbar Century City, chefs Myers, Cimarusti, Manzke, Hiroyuki Urasawa (Urasawa), and Ramon Perez (Sona) partner with the event’s host, Chef Sugie, to create a special five-course prix-fixe menu ($110 per person including tax, exclusive of gratuity) and optional wine pairings from Comme Ça’s Sommelier, Mark Mendoza. On May 18 at Comme CA, Chef Myers sets the stage for a second night of extraordinary dining, graced by the culinary talents of chefs Shook & Dotolo, Kahn, Voltaggio and Choi. Each chef will prepare a special dish for the multi-course tasting menu ($110 per person including tax, exclusive of gratuity or optional wine pairings), while signature 18A cocktails and wine pairings will also be available.
