Pride month is here celebrating unity, love, and acceptance. Expect joyful, colorful celebrations filled with parties, live music and parades. Here are some suggestions for your Pride month experience.

In June 1970 the first permitted gay parade in the world was on Hollywood Boulevard, and now as L.A celebrates the 50th anniversary, the original and iconic parade is back where it all began. Over 130 parade floats, marchers, trucks, exotic cars, twirlers, performers march in style as only the LGBTQ community and its allies can. This year’s grand marshals are Sir Lady Java, Mark Indelicate and Grammy-award winner Paula Abdul.

Starts Sunday, 10:30 a.m. Hollywood Blvd. Cahuenga to Highland, South on Highland to Sunset Blvd., East on Sunset to Cahuenga.

The LA Derby Dolls are bringing banked track roller derby to LA Pride this year as an official community partner. Enjoy the junior Derby Dolls exhibition, an open skate event, and a competition featuring the Cereal Killers vs The Dairy Queens.

Pride Spectacular
June 9 | Drag Yourself to The Valley

The Garland Ballroom in North Hollywood is kicking off LA Pride weekend with its second annual “Drag Yourself to the Valley” event. Hosted by Billy Francesca, this exclusive drag show will feature performances from RuPaul’s Drag Race Queens Willam Belli, Adore Delano and season 14 winner Willow Pill.

Tickets $75-$150. Thursday at 8 p.m – 11 p.m. 4222 Vineland Avenue, North Hollywood.

Play exciting Bingo under the stars
June 9 | L.A Pride Bingo at the Grove

The Grove brings back their annual bingo night in partnership with LA Pride. The level 8 rooftop parking lot transforms into a lively bingo palace under the stars with panoramic views, photo booths, live entertainment and more. LA legend Jeffrey Bowman will lead 10 rounds of bingo for ticketed guests for a chance to win special prizes.

LGQT Business Owners
June | SaMo PRIDE 2022

Made with PRIDE Marketplace takes place each weekend in June and showcases over 15 LGBTQIA+ local business owners, highlighting their stories.  Elsewhere in Santa Monica, City Hall, Santa Monica Pier, and the Main Street travel and tourism visitor’s center will show beautiful light displays symbolizing “Miles of Pride.”

Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m – 8 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m – 7 p.m. 395 Santa Monica Place, Santa Monica.

Danny Trejo x Kim Chi (RuPaul’s Drag Race) Collab
June 10-30 | Trejo’s Donuts

Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts has brought Kim Chi of RuPaul’s Drag Race’s iconic catchphrase to life with her very own doughnut called COME4ME by Kim Chi. The sweet, taro cream cheese filled doughnut with white chocolate taro glitter glaze, passion fruit buttercream, candied dragon fruit and passion fruit flakes is available at Danny Trejo’s donut shop through the end of June with a portion of the proceeds donated to Seniors Fight Back, a charity whose mission is to stop hate against AAPI seniors.

Gracie Madre West Hollywood

Gracias Madre, known for their innovative ethical beverage program, brings back the clarified Harvey Milk Punch, named after San Francisco’s first openly homosexual politician and made with hi-proof Don Fulano blanco tequila, mango brandy, Lo Fi dry vermouth, pineapple, poblano chili, jasmine green tea, lime oleo, oaxacan spice blend and clarified coconut milk. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Los Angeles LBGTQ Center.

WeHo Bistro celebrates Pride
May 8 | WeHo Bistro

WeHo Bistro is celebrating Pride Month by adorning it’s exterior with colorful draperies and decorations. Enjoy the vibes of the restaurant and order classic French style sandwiches such as the croque monsieur, ham and Swiss cheese in between brioche buns, and a croquet madame, a croque monsieur with egg on top. Their signature pride month drink, Shot of Pride is made of Tom of Finland vodka, Marie Brizard watermelon, lemon juice, pea flower syrup, and rainbow sprinkles.
