Brendan Collins, the creative mastermind who turned Culver City’s Waterloo & City into a destination for contemporary British cuisine, designed a menu with influences from France, Italy, California and Great Britain. All of the dishes are $15 or less. Highlights include a barbecued eel and foie gras terrine with Muscat gelee and soy reduction, local halibut and scallop ceviche with nam jim dressing, a brussels sprout pizza with Benton’s bacon and parmesan, and Collins’ house-made charcuterie. Global draft beers and wines round out the menu. Hints of Bell, a family friend of the restaurant’s owners, permeate the space, from a neon portrait of the artist to glass décor and structural features that call to mind Bell’s glass and Plexiglas cubes from the 1960s. 24 Windward Ave., Venice, 310.399.2700. larrysvenice.com
