BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ in Los Angeles
Sept. 5-6. The highest-demand event of the weekend is BTS’ return to SoFi Stadium following a four-year group hiatus. The remaining Los Angeles concerts take place Saturday and Sunday, with parking opening at 8 a.m., gates at 6 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m. BTS should be one of the roundup’s lead stories because it carries significant music, entertainment and K-pop search traffic. Maestro of the Movies: A Tribute to John Williams
Sept. 4-6. The Los Angeles Philharmonic returns to John Williams’ defining film scores, accompanied by over 50 minutes of specially edited movie scenes. Celebrate Labor Day at Fiesta Hermosa
Sept. 5-7. After a three-year hiatus, Fiesta Hermosa returns to downtown Hermosa Beach with a smaller footprint and a renewed focus on the local community. The three-day beachside festival features the Makers Mercado, food vendors, a mini carnival and live performances on the Love Local Stage near the Hermosa Beach Pier. A complimentary bike corral and parking shuttle from Northrop Grumman will also be available. General admission is free; The Garden requires a $10 daily ticket. KCRW Summer Nights Finale Weekend
Sept. 4-5. KCRW closes its free summer series with two distinct events. Friday brings after-hours museum access and DJ sets to the Autry, while Saturday’s NoHo Arts District block party features Madison McFerrin, Peanut Butter Wolf and LUXXURY. Free admission. Sept. 3. A summer evening of California wine, food, art and music takes over the Garden at Redbird | Vibiana for the start of Labor Day weekend. Presented with DTLA ArtNight and Happening in DTLA, the walk-around gathering features artwork from local artists, music by DJ Scarlett BoBo and optional red, white and rosé wine flights. American Craft Sake Festival
Sept. 5. An open-air deck at Lumen West LA becomes a Japanese-style biergarten for an evening of cold sake, sushi and city views. Long Beach Greek Festival
Sept. 5-6. Rooted in Long Beach since 1949, the festival brings three days of Greek food, traditional music, folk dancing, cooking demonstrations and family activities to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. The Labor Day weekend celebration is the church’s primary annual fundraiser, supporting the parish and the surrounding community it has served for more than 75 years.
