The Messi Experience: A Dream Come True

Whoopi Goldberg at The Woods

July 20. Join the celebration as Whoopi Goldberg receives the Key to West Hollywood for her unwavering support of the LGBTQIA+ community and her woman-owned cannabis brand. Women’s Dive Day Party

July 20. Hotel Figueroa in Downtown L.A. will host a Women’s Dive Day Party in collaboration with the female-founded Eco Dive Center. It features a Mermaid Tails Experience, scuba gear trials, raffle prizes and marine conservation education from Heal the Bay and Shark Allies. Comedy Night at the Odyssey

All Space Considered at Griffith Observatory

July 18. Join the Griffith Observatory’s curatorial staff for their monthly discussion on current astronomical phenomena and news at the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater. This month’s program features Dr. Gabriele Vajente, Deputy Chief Engineer of the LIGO Laboratory, who will delve into “Gravitational-wave Astronomy: Listening to the Dark Side of the Universe.” The presentation will also be live-streamed on the observatory’s website. Painting in the River of Angels: Judy Baca and The Great Wall

Until July 21. Judy Baca’s half-mile-long mural, The Great Wall of Los Angeles, originally painted in the ’70s along the Tujunga Wash, has been the focus of renewed attention. LACMA presents a distinctive exhibit where Baca and SPARC artists will add two new sections to the mural during museum hours.
