Forecast for Fun: San Diego Events This Weekend Worth Noting
My Top Picks For San Diego Events This Weekend
When summer officially arrives it’s time to slop on the suntan lotion and roll out your beach towels! With some of the best miles of shoreline around, you won’t have to work hard to find the perfect stretch of sand to unwind. Shelter Island and Harbor Island are worthy beach destinations, with bars, shops and departure points for an array of nautical adventures. If you’re ready to be entertained, you may be looking for San Diego events this weekend such as Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay, which hosts an array of jazz, blues and pop headliners in a 1400 seat outdoor auditorium. That’s what I call a day well spent in San Diego!
Living in San Diego means that I get a lot of out of town guests, and I always need to be up on what’s happening in and around the city so I can share my insider gems with friends and family alike. My top picks for weekend activities in Southern California usually goes a little something like this: Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace at 1201 First Street. Tons of stuff to see, do and buy with the smell of sea salt in the air. If you want to get your shop on: Bazaar Del Mundo, featuring a ton of international shops with items you won’t see on anyone else!
365 Days of Fun in San Diego
Socal residents love their sunny weather and that also means having outdoor events 365 days a year. No snow storms here! There are plenty of outdoor events all summer long in LA, the OC and in San Diego. San Diego events this weekend include the Little Italy Mercato from 8am to 2pm, SD Food Trucks at Balboa Park, Point Loma Summer Concert Series, the 33rd Philippine Cultural Arts Festival and more! We personally love the Little Italy Mercato as there is so much to do. From fresh produce, arts and crafts for the whole family, plants and local artisanal vendors… it’s definitely a five star SD farmers market open year round.
