Don’t miss Christmas City USA at the Legacy International Center
Edited by Brooke Knetzger
The Legacy International Center, occupying 18 prime acres of real estate in the heart of San Diego’s Mission Valley, includes a 126-room resort hotel, spa and salon, convention center, fine dining Italian prime steakhouse, a 500-seat performing arts theater, casual eatery and a 4D domed theatre with motion sensory seating, and a “hang gliding” tour of Israel. There’s more: an underground maze of stone chambers in the Catacombs experience with biblical art displayed by masters 3-D artist, Kurt Winner. There are floor-to-ceiling video galleries, a Bellagio-style show fountain that shoots 30 feet into the air, an International Market, and a 110-ft long Western Wall replica, a tribute to Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall and Morris Cerullo’s Jewish heritage.
The Legacy International Center has a soft opening on December 14-15, with a grand opening scheduled for March, 2020. Don’t miss the inaugural Christmas City USA celebration for four fun and festive nights. Guests can look forward to carolers, food, drinks, vendors, festive decor and a giant tree lighting ceremony. “The Plaza” at the newly built facility will house a 50 foot Christmas tree with digital LED lights and synchronized music show, described as an audio and visual choreographed experience that guests will need to see to believe. The event will also feature music from local choirs and community groups and a few surprises throughout the night! Free event. December 14-15 & December 20-21, 6 – 9 p.m. The Legacy Center, 875 Hotel Circle South, Mission Valley. legacysandiego.com
