James Beard Award-winning Southern chef Sean Brock opens Darling, a hip new restaurant located in the trendy West Hollywood Design District. A DJ spins vinyl records at the state-of-the-art hi-fi listening lounge, setting the tone for daring cocktail creations (apple, whiskey, and oat milk, anyone?).
The good vibrations travel into the adjoining dining room, punctuated by sun-yellow booths and a symbolic 23-foot-long mural honoring farmworkers. Live-fire cooking lends a smoky edge to Brock’s dishes, such as grilled bread, Coho salmon, and the highly recommended dry-aged steak burger. The 12-item menu changes monthly.
