This summer at Segerstrom Center for the Arts the fun doesn’t stop just because the weekend ends. Free Movie Mondays on the Center’s 46,000-square-foot Arts Plaza are a perennially popular tradition in Orange County. This year, An American in Paris, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Yentl and The Music Man will be projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall starting at dusk Mondays through Aug. 6. Bring beach chairs, blankets and a picnic to enjoy during the alfresco film or purchase snacks and beverages from Patina Catering. In a continuing partnership with the Newport Beach Film Festival, a selection of the best animated short films from this year’s festival will be shown prior to the main feature. Segerstrom Center also holds fun and entertaining theme contests for guests before each screening with prizes such as tickets to shows, DVDs and other fun-filled items for lucky winners. 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, 714.556.2121. scfta.org
