If you’ve ever wanted to lounge around Central Perk sipping coffee with all of your friends, slip into the vinyl booths and grab a bite at Monk’s Diner, or take a peek into a parallel universe—all of these are possible with a new exhibit at the Paley Center for the Media.
Television Out of the Box, an interactive exhibit from Warner Bros. now on display at the Paley Center for the Media in Beverly Hills, brings 60 years of the most notable television culture to you. Step behind the scenes of shows such as Friends, Seinfeld, ER, Fringe, Gilmore Girls, Two and a Half Men, Gossip Girl and many more, to see costumes, props, sets (where you can snap photos on) and other iconic memorabilia, at this never-before-assembled collection.
In addition to contemporary shows, the exhibit takes you back to Warner Bros. Television’s early years in an installation devoted to the company’s first forays into series production, with shows such as Maverick, Kung Fu, Cheyenne, Wonder Woman, and 77 Sunset Strip, among many others.
Also stop by the Theme Song Theater, where you can watch clips from Friends; The Dukes of Hazzard; Welcome Back, Kotter; Gilligan’s Island and sing along to their opening songs.
