Truffles are the black diamonds of the culinary world, and are finally in season. To celebrate their arrival Patina Restaurant’s Joachim Splichal and Executive Chef Tony Esnault welcome Christopher Poron of Plantain Truffle Company along with his French truffle harvest for a series of special evenings at the restaurant. From Jan. 10-12, you can dine on menus that exclusively showcase black truffles in three ($95), five ($135), or seven ($175) courses with available wine pairings. Menu highlights include butternut squash ravioli with truffle emulsion; milk-fed veal tenderloin, variation of celery, jus truffe; Dover sole au plat, potato, leeks, tuber melanosporum jus simple and more. If you can’t make any of the dinners, Patina offers month-long specials featuring the delectable Tuber Melanosporums.
