Celebrate the intersection of Mexican food, culture and wine during Fina Stampa, June 5-6 at Loteria Grill with two distinct soirees. Each event—the first at Loteria Grill Hollywood and second at Loteria Grill Santa Monica—features cuisine from Executive Chef Jimmy Shaw of Loteria Grill and Executive Chef Javier Plascencia of Misión 19 in Tijuana, Mexico.
On June 4th at Loteria Grill Hollywood, dine on a special six-course tasting menu paired with Baja, California wines. Highlights of the menu include selections such as shrimp tostada of salsa cabeza with salsa verde cruda; creamy rice with Tecate goat cheese and braised lamb; cream of corn with chaya of white wine and black mushroom tamale; duck breast with mole negro and date ashes, parsnip puree and root vegetables; and more. Throughout the formal dinner, guests will have a chance to mingle with both chefs. ($75 per person including wine pairings, tax and gratuity not included).
For the second dinner on June 5th at Loteria Grill Santa Monica, expect a fun food fair where you will sample cuisine through out the night from stations by Plascencia and Shaw. Selections are themed to be from the street, field and table, and all stations will be perfectly paired with Baja wines. KCRW DJ Raúl Campos will spin beats to set the vibe for the evening, while Lui Hussong will be on hand to discuss tasting notes of the Baja wines. ($45 per person including wine pairings, tax and gratuity not included)
