Every winter Chinese New Year conjures imagery of golden dragons, wishing ribbons, festive lanterns and over-the-top feasts. Take your Lunar New Year party to Hakkasan Beverly Hills where Michelin-starred Chef Ho Chee Boon has conjured up a special eight-course menu, available through March 1.
The festive feast includes dishes like an assortment of dim sum; spicy lamb lupin wrap; golden fried sea prawns with red chili and curry leaf; abalone and dry scallop fried rice; stir-fry black pepper rib eye beef; grilled Chilean sea bass in honey; and for dessert, a kumquat wishing tree made up of chocolate, caramelized macadamia nuts and cocoa rocks. Complete your experience with the Kumquatcha, a cocktail made with Leblon Cachaça, Campari, kumquats, lime, simple syrup.
Chinese New Year officially kicks off on Feb. 19. On that evening, the restaurant features Lion dance troops that will weave their way through the latticed woodwork cages of Hakkasan, offering symbolic expressions of luck, fortune, wisdom and joy.

The restaurant will also be honoring the Chinese “Wishing Tree” tradition by inviting guests to share their hopes for 2015 by writing their wishes on specially designed wishing ribbons that will be placed throughout the restaurants during the festive period. A collection of wishes from around the world will also be shared on the Hakkasan website.
