Sip & Savasana 
Sept. 5. Kimpton Solamar is hosting its next Sip & Savasana rooftop yoga event. The light vinyasa flow yoga class will be led by a special guest teacher, Jenn Bodnar of Yoga Digest, and will take place at the hotel’s Upper East Rooftop Bar, overlooking the downtown San Diego skyline. The event will also have a live DJ, complimentary ‘sips’ and plenty of Instagrammable yogi moments. 6-7 p.m. 435 6th Ave., downtown, 619.531.8744.



Fourth Annual Play on the Bay 
Sept. 6. Loews Coronado Bay Resort will host its 4th annual Play on the Bay to support local education. Guests can enjoy spectacular food, drinks, live music, a silent auction and more in an unforgettable evening on the water. Proceeds from Play on the Bay benefit, a non-profit organization that assists public school teachers with the supplies and equipment they need for their classrooms. 6-9 p.m. Loews Coronado Bay Resort, 4000 Coronado Bay Road, Coronado. South Park Fall Walkabout
Sept. 6. The South Park Walkabout is a fun-filled evening festival that showcases all the unique and independent businesses within South Park. Guests can look forward to complimentary treats, live entertainment and special offers. Grab some friends and head to San Diego’s charming neighborhood for a fun night out! 6-10 p.m. South Park at Fern St.




20th Annual Gala in the Garden
Sept. 7. Explore various gardens while savoring fine wine, craft beer, signature cocktails and the best dishes from local restaurants all while enjoying the ongoing live entertainment. Be on the lookout for inter-active educational experiences! This annual gala provides the necessary funding to support the beautiful Encinitas public garden, helping to fulfill its mission of “inspiring people of all ages to connect with plants and nature.”  5 -10 p.m. $250+. New Libations at Cloak & Petal
Now Available. Little Italy’s Japanese fusion concept, Cloak and Petal, is mixing up a slew of new libations to sip under their iconic faux cherry blossom trees. The Feudal Princess plays on the classic martini, bestowing a delicate intermingling of dry gin, elderflower and Crème de Violette. Indulge in a staycation for the senses with Nobunaga’s Demise, infused with pineapple, lemon, coconut and banana, Navy Strength London Dry Gin, blue curacao and Japanese melon, or opt for a more spirit-forward option with their Shibuya Nights, concocted from Suntory Toki, black walnut and cinnamon. 1953 India St, Little Italy, 619.501.5505.


The Patio Group’s Refreshed Menus
Now Available. The Patio Group has launched new menus at The Patio on Goldfinch and The Patio on Lamont. The indoor-outdoor eateries’ new menus were created by Corporate Executive Chef Jarrod Moiles –  focusing on sustainable dishes and ingredients chosen based on their seasonality and whether or not they were locally available. Chef’s favorite dishes include the Brandt Beef additions to the menus – locally sourced from Brawley, California. See website for locations and hours.



New Brunch & Cocktail Menus at Madero’s
Now Available. Madero’s, known for its authentic Mexican food and expansive tequila selection, recently launched an entirely new Sunday brunch menu  featuring an array of mouthwatering dishes and specialty cocktails. Bubbly & Brunch: Roederer Estate & Champagne Roederer
Sept. 8. Gather beachside at JRDN in Pacific Beach for some bubbly and brunch with a view. Featuring sparkling wine from Roederer Estate and Champagne Roederer, JRDN’s wine professionals will pour guests selected bubbly perfectly paired with a three-course brunch prepared by Executive Chef Dave Warner. 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. TOWER23 Hotel, 723 Felspar St, Pacific Beach. Romeo and Juliet
Sept. 5-8. After his smash-hit Othello and record-breaking Hamlet, Barry Edelstein returns to the Shakespeare Festival to take on the greatest love story of all time. Verona’s Montague and Capulet families have been feuding for ages, and whenever they meet, violence breaks out. But when Romeoglimpses Juliet across a crowded dance floor, something different happens. Can star-crossed love survive in a world of rivalry and rage? The Addams Family- A New Musical Comedy 
Sept. 6. The Addams Family – A New Musical Comedy features an original story… and it’s every ghoulish father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Welk Resorts Theatre, 8860 Lawrence Welk Drive, Escondido.
