Jan. 3-5. Sam Morril is one of the fastest rising stars in stand-up comedy. Thursday Beer Run
Jan. 3. Led by Step By Step Run Co., this free weekly run begins at Eppig Brewing Waterfront Biergarten and travels along beautiful Shelter Island. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome on 2- and 3-mile loop options. Participants will receive $1 off Eppig pints after the run. Friday Night Liberty
Jan. 4.. It’s a new year for new art at the Arts District at Liberty Station’s Friday Night Liberty. The monthly art walk showcases the working artists, dance, music and theaters that are helping the district grow in its mission to highlight arts and culture in San Diego. Tonight, San Diego Dance Theater will preview its January concert, If I Was A Bird Yoga Kids Studio will host a yoga and dance performance and Anneville Jewelry will celebrate its grand opening. 5-9 p.m. Free. Beat Farmers Hootenanny

Now Open. Orfila Winery and Vineyards opened a new tasting room near the beach. Orfila Oceanside is now serving their award-winning wines and small plates created by Executive Chef Luke Morganstern.
