Padres Pedal & Pints
April 18. Get on your bike and ride one of two routes through Torrey Pines to support Padres Pedal the Cause, an impactful cancer research organization here in San Diego. Or skip the ride and enjoy brews at Culture Brewing Co. with BBQ from Up In Smoke food truck, both of which will donate a generous portion of proceeds from the evening. Padres Baseball
April 18-21. The Pads take on the Cincinnati Reds in a four-game series that includes many park activities and theme nights. Friday, join San Diego Pride for Out at the Park and a pre-game tailgate in conjunction with CocktailFest, then take your seats for a collaborative performance of the National Anthem by San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus, San Diego Women’s Chorus and San Diego Pride and Padres staff members. On Saturday, snag a Swingin’ Friar poncho fleece blanket Military Appreciation Day on Sunday welcomes home the USS Essex. Ali Wong
April 19-22. The stand-up comedian, writer and actress hit critical acclaim with her breakout Netflix special Baby Cobra in 2016. Since then, she has thrown out the first pitch at a Giants game, appeared on Ellen and became the very first artist to sell out eight shows at the San Francisco Masonic Theater. Bikes, Boards & Brews
April 20. Celebrate the Pacific Beach culture and all of the neighborhood’s unique eateries and breweries at the annual Bikes, Boards and Brews event. Tickets include 10 tasters from San Diego’s best craft breweries, food pairings from local restaurants, live entertainment, and more. Chicano Park Day
April 20. The 49th annual event celebrating Chicano Park—a designated National Historic Landmark—features traditional music and dance, a lowrider car show, art workshops for kids, and food, arts and craft vendors. Easter Bunny Teas
April 19-20. The Westgate Hotel will transform its traditional Parisian-style afternoon tea service into a springtime Easter treat. Easter Bunny Teas will feature a selection of house-made sweet delicacies, kid-friendly petit-fours, delicious tea sandwiches, and pastries. April 20-21. The recently opened North Park spot adds San Diego’s favorite meal to its menu.
