Junteenth Wellness Festival

June 19. Wellness and activism go hand in hand with this special event designed to honor and uplift the black community. The Yoga Bus has partnered with InterContinental San Diego to host a day of yoga and fitness classes for all skill levels on the hotel’s Lane Field lawn. San Diego Legion Rugby Match

June 20. It’s not too late to catch some Major League Rugby this season. The San Diego Legion is at last back in town (after having to relocate earlier games due to the pandemic) for its final two home matches of the year. Head to Torero Stadium on Sunday for the team’s summer kickoff bash and special Father’s Day face-off against the Los Angeles Giltinis. San Diego County Fair

Through July 4. Albeit smaller in scale for 2021, this beloved annual event returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds with plenty of family-friendly fun. This year’s theme is “Home Grown Fun,” featuring 280 shopping vendors and 40 concession stands offering everything from smoky barbecue to deep-fried treats. Festivities also include live music and other performances, farm animals, exhibits, a carousel and Ferris wheel; plus activities for kids, including produce planting, pony rides, racing pigs, magicians and jugglers. Father’s Day

“Boeuf and Beers” at Bleu Bohème

June 18-19. Treat Dad to a fun combo of craft beer and beef with Bleu Bohème’s menu special, available exclusively for Father’s Day weekend. The French bistro is offering its signature boeuf bourguignon paired with locally brewed pours from Kensington Brewing Company. The dish features beef short rib with red wine, mushrooms, house-smoked bacon, carrots, baby potatoes and caramelized pearl onions. Beer selections include the Kensington IPA and pale ale. JuneBOOM at Mavericks Beach Club

June 18. San Diego’s marine-layer-induced “June gloom” gets replaced with a little “boom” at this party—celebrating the launch of the new grapefruit paloma by local hard kombucha maker JuneShine. The evening includes guest DJs, dancing, drink specials, bites and a silent auction—featuring items such as Adidas gear, custom Callaway golf clubs, golf tee times and more. Taste of Little Italy

Upcoming | June 22-23. The 13th annual celebration of all things delicious in Little Italy returns. Order your ticket, aka “Taste Passport,” online in advance and embark on a culinary walking tour through this 48-square-block neighborhood—sampling bites from more than 20 eateries over two days. Jazz Concert at Queen Bee’s

June 17. A hub for emerging artists and musicians, Queen Bee’s Art and Cultural Center presents this special concert for one night only. New Exhibits at San Diego Museum of Art

Opens June 18. Housing a renowned collection of works dating back to 3000 B.C., the landmark museum presents two new exhibits. Opening on Friday, Cranach to Canaletto: Masterpieces from the Bemberg Foundation features 80-plus works by revered European painters, produced between 1500 and 1800. Summer Concert Series at The Old Globe

June 19-July 11. Following a 14-month shutdown, Balboa Park’s iconic theater is aglow with live shows. The Old Globe presents An Evening With … featuring acclaimed Broadway stars in a series of concerts at its outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Beehive the 60s Musical at The Flower Fields

Through July 25. It’s an alfresco theatrical experience like no other. Theater troupe New Village Arts has partnered with The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch to present full-scale productions through October 2021. Staged amid the property’s idyllic outdoor gardens, Beehive is nostalgic 1960s music personified.
