Boots in the Park at Waterfront Park

Uncorked: San Diego Wine Fest
April 11. Embarcadero Marina Park North transforms into a bayfront oasis for oenophiles. Offerings at the 11th annual event include more than 150 wines from around the world; plus bubbly, hard cider, seltzer, canned cocktails and mocktails; along with a live DJ, photo booth, lawn game lounge, local food trucks and San Diego Bay views. The Old Globe: August Wilson’s Fences
Through May 3. Acclaimed American playwright August Wilson (1945-2005; pictured), referred to as the “theater’s poet of Black America,” is best known for his collective of 10 plays called The Pittsburgh Cycle. Award-winning theater company The Old Globe stages one of them: Wilson’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning Fences—centered on a former Negro League baseball star-turned sanitation worker in the 1950s. SDMA: New Toulouse-Lautrec Exhibit

Broadway San Diego: The Notebook
