For years, Del Mar’s hotspot was Epazote, a restaurant and bar in the Del Mar Plaza shopping center that never took full advantage of its fantastic views of the Pacific. Recently opened in that location is Flavor Del Mar, whose new owners promptly removed as many view-blocking interior elements as possible and recast the place as an airy, elegantly low-key hangout complete with white marble bar, seafoam accents and an enclosed deck with nearly panoramic views.
