Taste of Downtown
Sept. 15. Enjoy tantalizing tastes from more than 40 restaurants throughout the Gaslamp Quarter, Headquarters, Core District and East Village neighborhoods at the annual Taste of Downtown. A complimentary shuttle service runs between locations. $30/pp. 5-9 p.m. Various locations.

Sept. 17. The 5th annual 5K fun run loops through Seaport Village and runs along the Embarcadero with views of the iconic Coronado Bridge and marina. The race is only to be outdone by the beer and food festival that follows after the finish line. Attendees will help kickoff the first weekend of Octoberfest with an expansive beer garden, games and food trucks. Embarcadero Marina Park South, 200 Marina Park Way, downtown.


landlubbersLandlubber’s Day
Sept. 17. In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day, Seaport Village celebrates all things pirate with live music, costume contests, crafts, photo opps with mermaids and more. The free event is great for all ages and attendees are encouraged to wear their best pirate garb. 1-4 p.m.849 West Harbor Dr., San Diego Marina.
