Rhythm & Youth at Westfield North County
Talented, local kids take the stage at Westfield North County at the inaugural Rhythm & Youth showcase.
San Diego is loaded with young talent, and Westfield North County has wrangled up the best of the best for its inaugural two-day music showcase. From hit iTunes artists to first timers in the spotlight, Rhythm & Youth will feature more than 28 individual and group performances, including 13-year-old Isabella “Belle” Pihas, an Electric Lime Records artist and seasoned public performer from Scripps Ranch who regularly donates a portion of the proceeds from her song sales on iTunes to her designated charity, Rady Children’s Hospital. DJ Tim Pyles, host of the all-local music program The Local 94.9 and the event’s emcee, says “Exposing kids to good music and the arts at a young age is so important; who’s to say they can’t be the next Bach, Jagger or GaGa?” Maybe they are… decide for yourself June 1-2. Noon-5 p.m. Rhythm & Youth will be held outdoors at Westfield North County on the east side of the mall off of Beethoven Street. 760.489.0631. westfield.com/northcounty
