Adams Avenue Unplugged Rocks Normal Heights
More than 100 artists, including a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, perform at the annual Adams Avenue Unplugged music festival April 26-27.
On April 26-27, the pocket of Normal Heights fringing Kensington will transform into a block party with blues, folk, jazz, country and world music performances across 24 indoor and outdoor states. More than 100 artists are slated to perform acoustic sets at Adams Avenue Unplugged, including headliner Chris Hillman, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his time with The Byrds. Top billing also goes to Herb Pedersen, leader of the Laurel Canyon Ramblers; former Plimsouls and The Nerves singer-songwriter Peter Cas; ex-Old Crow Medicine Show singer-guitarist Willie Watson; country music singer-guitarist Jonny Fritz; Canadian duo The Sumner Brothers; The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit and Shaggy Manes.
The third annual festival will feature performances staged in participating restaurants, bars, coffeehouses and galleries, as well as four community stages along a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue. The event is free and open to the public, including a complimentary trolley service along Adams Avenue.
