Actually, those so inclined might make that eat and drink spicy: In addition to its scores of customized and luxe experiences, focuses at Restaurant Week include specially created cocktails and dishes for lovers of spicy food, such as the Spicy Vodka Rita at Skyloft in Laguna Beach and spicy fried-chicken sandwich at Great Maple at Fashion Island. Options for family-friendly dining abound. Café Sevilla, which opened this week at the Triangle in Costa Mesa, offers its paella valenciana. Lunch $10-$25, dinner $20-$50, luxe $80.

Mar. 5-8. American Ballet Theatre presents the world premiere of Of Love and Rage, a work influenced by the Greek aesthetics of beauty and harmony and incorporating many elements of ancient Greek drama. Choreographed by company artist-in-residence and MacArthur Genius Alexei Ratmansky, it finds its main inspiration in the Greek text Callirhoe. See website for showtimes. $29+.
