Sherman Gardens Announces February Events

Available Soon. Sherman Gardens has announced a slew of upcoming events for guests to enjoy. From family tours of the breathtaking gardens to Junior Gardeners after-school programs to painting classes and more. Celebrate Lunar New Year at Rodeo 39

Jan. 30. Rodeo 39 Public Market will celebrate the Year of the Tiger with a community event. The Lunar New Year festivities will include entertainment such as a contortionist and roaming stilt walker, along with a lion dance performance beginning at 6:30 p.m. The first 500 guests will receive a Rodeo 39 Lunar New Year fortune cookie and the first 100 guests will also receive a lucky red envelope filled with $2 each, while supplies last. 4:30-6:30 p.m. 12885 Beach Blvd., Stanton.

Available Feb. 1. The new Lunar New Year comes in style and elegance as only South Coast Plaza can deliver! Select South Coast Plaza restaurants will celebrate Year of the Tiger with special dishes. Setsubun Ehoumaki Order Available

Pre-orders Available Now. Sushi Ii is now taking pre-orders for its Setsubun specials. Thursday, February 3 is Setsubun – a Japanese holiday that marks the final day before Spring according to the traditional Japanese calendar. Chef Susumu Ii has prepared a traditional Ehoumaki, available on this day only. It is customary to enjoy Ehoumaki, in silence, facing the lucky direction, which for 2022 happens to be north-northwest. ADYA Celebrates Lunar New Year

Sittin’ In and Groovin’ Out with the Metta Quintet

Jan. 28. Metta Quintet features some of the most creative performers on today’s jazz scene, fueled by a collective, open-minded musical curiosity. The group is equally dedicated to blazing new artistic trails, music education, and community service.
