Sur la Table Online Cooking Class

Jan. 22. Need new ideas for dinner? Skip takeout on Friday to tune in to Sur la Table’s virtual cooking class for pressure-cooked short ribs with gremolata (pictured) and Parmesan polenta. As a fully interactive class, at-home chefs can ask chef /instructor BB questions while working away. But before the virtual class, go to the website to download the packet containing essential shopping lists, pre-class prep guides and more. Use the shopping list to gather ingredients prior to the day of the class. 4 p.m. $29 per household.

Dance Fitness Class

Jan. 23. Bust a move with Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ dance instructor Amanda Cobb during this fun, upbeat fitness class at the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza. This class will be held outdoors and socially distanced, allowing plenty of room for participants to groove. All ages and ability levels can participate in this dance-inspired workout with no dance experience required. 11 a.m. $10.

“Pose for Paws” Puppy Yoga

Jan. 24. What better way to start your Sunday off right than with Haus of Show’s vinyasa yoga flow class surrounded by adoptable pups from The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County. Taking place at the Waterfront Beach Resort’s outdoor Vista Lawn, the hour-long class not only includes furry friends, but also a Los Sundays margarita to enjoy. Level up to a VIP ticket to receive healthy bites and a custom yoga hand towel. Available Jan. 23. In case you didn’t know, this Saturday is National Pie Day (as if we need any more reasons to eat pie)! Pop Pie Co. is celebrating this tasty “holiday” with new flavors including Very Berry Crumble, Banana Cream Pie, Coconut Cream Pie and Matcha Cream Pie. Virtual Painting Class: Waterfall Bliss

Jan. 22. Pinot’s Palette is bringing the painting party to you with this virtual, pre-recorded class. At-home artists will learn how to paint this Waterfall Bliss painting at your own pace through a recorded video that you can watch (and rewatch later) from anywhere within 30 days of purchase. Class registration includes a kit with a 10×30″ canvas, paint, brushes, disposable apron, water cup, mixing palette and paper towel. Note: Paint kits are available for pick-up on Wednesdays or Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m., or Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m. 7-9 p.m. $33.

Muzeo’s Saturday Sketch Club

Jan. 23. Bring out your inner artist during Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center’s Saturday Sketch Club. During this week’s program, participants will learn about the divine significance of a mandala, how to create one and how it can help you to reach a meditative state. Teaching artist Adriana Martinez will be demonstrating how to start a mandala and will create a few using different mediums. This program will be hosted on Muzeo’s Instagram Live. 11 a.m. Free.

Sondheim Unplugged

Through Jan. 23. Let Feinstein’s/54 Below bring the glamour and intimacy of Broadway to your living room with Sondheim Unplugged. Available on demand through Saturday, this series features some of Broadway and cabaret’s most dynamic voices, accompanied by piano only, delving into the musical world of Broadway’s master composer. Guest stars include Darius de Haas, Natalie Douglas (pictured), Telly Leung, T. Oliver Reid, Nicholas Rodriguez and Lucia Spina. $25 per household.
