Cars and Coffee at Costa Mesa

Aug 7. Freelance Coffee Project hosts their first Cars & Coffee featuring Porsche. The parking lot will be filled with exotic Porsche cars. Guests can sip single-origin coffees and espressos and artisan pastries as they stroll through the Freelance parking lot, where they can mingle with automobile owners, collectors, and enthusiasts. Sunday, 8 a.m. – noon, 882 Production Pl., Newport Beach.

Hi-Lo Grand Opening

Aug 5. You may not think of the grand opening of a market as a “must-attend” event, but then again, Hi-Lo Liquor Market is no ordinary market. An astonishing place to find anything liquid your heart desires and more will be opening its new location this Friday with free samples, giveaways, food, and more. The event is free to attend. Wolves and Coyotes

Aug 6. Presented by staff from Wolf Haven International, the Wolves and Coyotes Education Program takes a closer look at the contrast between wolf and coyote biology. Walk-ins are welcome, but seating is limited, and priority will be given to those who register here. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Chelas Mexican Kitchen

Now Open. One of the area’s favorite institutions for Mexican food is reopening its doors after changing to a new home. Chelas uses traditional recipes such as their variety selection of tacos like rib eye, carnitas, chicken, and more. Taquitos La Chata

Aug 5-7. Orange County’s best taquitos are being served up all weekend until they are gone. Stop by this beloved pop-up for a guaranteed great meal and see why people can’t stop talking about these beloved taquitos. Jan’s Health Bar 50th Anniversary

Aug 5. Jan’s Health Bar celebrates its 50th Anniversary with a day full of giveaways, sweet treats, and discounts. Stop by any Jan’s Health Bar locations in Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach or Laguna Beach for merch giveaways and $5 off your purchase of $20 or more. Each location will have a dessert cart stationed outside the restaurant, Friday, from noon – 2 p.m., as well as social media giveaways on Instagram.

Everywhere Beer Co. Grand Opening

Aug 5. Join in the festivities as one of Orange County’s most exciting breweries opens its doors to the public. Everywhere Beer Co is welcoming guests for the first time this Friday, beginning at 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy the team’s various beers and seltzers, as well as food from the pop-up Hamburgers Nice until 9 pm. Gianmarco Soresi at Irvine Improv

Aug 7. Grab your tickets now to experience one of the fastest rising stars in comedy as NY-based Gianmarco Soresi takes the stage at the Irvine Improv. Sunset Cinema Series: The School of Rock

Aug 5. OC Parks Sunset Cinema film series brings the big screen outdoors to you as a showing of The School of Rock (PG-13, 2003) comes to you this Friday at Irvine Regional Park in Orange. Event and parking are free, and food and beverage will be available for purchase. Enjoy pre-show entertainment starting at 6 p.m. with the film beginning at approximately 8 p.m., after sundown.
