Join an evening highlighted by Stravinsky’s exhilarating ‘The Rite of Spring’. Over a century since its tumultuous 1913 debut in Paris, this masterpiece continues to captivate with its portrayal of pagan Russian rituals. Complementing this is the world premiere of Vladimir Tarnopolski’s ‘Danse Macabre’. Music Director Rafael Payare sets the stage with Béla Bartók’s mysterious ‘Miraculous Mandarin Suite’, and the program also includes a piece from Villa-Lobos’ ‘Bachianas brasileiras’, blending Bach’s influence with Brazilian folk traditions.
