Into the Horizon Music Festival

June 27-28. It’s a “stacked weekend of sunshine and sound.” The likes of Martin Garrix and Tiësto will headline the two-day Into the Horizon music festival at Waterfront Park. Spanning three stages, the lineup of musicians also includes Zhu, Laszewo, Carrie Keller, Close Friends Only, James Hype, Lost Frequencies, Wuki, Al Tamar, Brosa, Polar Bears and many more. Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off

June 27. The Ocean Beach MainStreet Association presents this 46th annual celebration. The fun includes two stages hosting live music all day; a beachside beer and spirits garden; more than 200 local food vendors and merchants; an “Artists Alley” showcasing local artisans and craft vendors; an interactive community mural; free trolley transportation and bike valet; and more. There’s also the famed Chili Cook-Off tasting and competition; plus eating contests hosted by Hodad’s (burgers) and OB Dirty Birds (wings). 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Free admission. Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival

June 28. We all scream for ice cream on Sunday! Scoop San Diego returns with its eighth annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival—featuring 30-plus local ice cream and gelato shops. Sample scoops from Stella Jean’s Ice Cream, EscoGelato, Handel’s San Diego, Cali Cream, Cabetos Pops, MooTime Creamery, Mariposa, and more. There’s even a “First Scoop Experience” (11 a.m.-noon); and a “Best Flavor of the Year” contest. Proceeds benefit Feeding San Diego. Taste of Adams Avenue

June 28. Explore local bites and delights, as a 2-mile stretch of Adams Avenue—from University Heights to Kensington—transforms into a culinary walkabout. Around 45 restaurants, coffeehouses, wine bars, pubs and breweries are participating in this 25th annual event—each with their own distinctive vibe and food and drink offerings. Venues include Blind Lady Ale House, French bistro Et Voila, The Rabbit Hole, Ponce’s Mexican Restaurant, and The Haven Pizzeria. Sunset Luaus at the Catamaran

Through Sept. 3. The Catamaran Resort Hotel returns with its annual tradition, “Sunset Luaus on the Bay,” every Thursday through Sept. 3. The family-friendly celebration of Polynesian food, music and culture includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, classic Mai Tais to drink, live dancing and entertainment, and a lei for each guest. New Summer Menu at Bacari

Now Available. North Park’s new Mediterranean-inspired bar and restaurant, Bacari, has revamped its menu in celebration of summer, offering new seasonal small plates. The Sabich (pictured) comprises a pita topped with an egg, purple potatoes, roasted eggplant, cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes, beet tahini, scallions and radishes. S.D. Symphony Opening Night at The Shell

June 26. San Diego Symphony kicks off its 2026 Summer Season at The Rady Shell. “Opening Night with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra” features Music Director Rafael Payare conducting; and renowned violinist Stefan Jackiw—who will perform Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2. Fleet Science Center Grand Reopening

June 27-28. Completing its first major renovation since the late 1990s (funded by a $5.6 million grant from the State of California), Fleet Science Center celebrates with a public grand reopening—offering 50 percent off general admission for S.D. residents on Saturday and Sunday. The renovation expands the Center’s public exhibit space by 20 percent, including the addition of two brand-new exhibit galleries; as well as a free-to-the-public entrance gallery; and a new dining experience: Element 8 Cafe. Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra Festival

Through June 27. The largest gathering of concertmasters and principal players in North America unfolds in concerts at The Conrad and at UCSD’s Epstein Family Amphitheater. Remaining concerts this week include Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten by Pärt, and Schumann’s Violin Concerto, featuring violinist James Ehnes, on June 25; and Beethoven’s epic Fifth Symphony, plus pieces by Mozart and Brahms, featuring Ehnes and cellist Robert DeMaine, on Closing Night on June 27.
