On Saturday afternoon, February 21, red envelopes, lion drums, and movement fill the Edwards Stadium Courtyard as Cerritos Towne Center welcomes the community to its annual Lunar New Year celebration—this year honoring the Year of the Horse.
Running from noon to 2 p.m., the free, family-friendly event brings together traditional lion dance performances and roaming stilt walkers, turning the open-air center into a lively, walkable celebration. Throughout the courtyard, guests can stop for festive photo moments, while younger attendees can take part in hands-on kids crafts and a Lucky Red Envelope Giveaway, available while supplies last.

Set within the heart of the Los Angeles–Orange County metro corridor, Cerritos Towne Center has long served as a community gathering place, and its Lunar New Year event continues that role by offering an accessible, cultural celebration designed for all ages. No RSVP is required—visitors can simply arrive, explore the performances, and enjoy the afternoon at their own pace.
