Surf Art Exhibit at Oceanside Museum of Art
Opens Aug. 23. The Oceanside Museum of Art debuts Surf Art: Exploring California’s Coastal Culture. Featuring 30-plus local artists and surfers, the exhibit captures the spirit of surfing, comprising works from sculptures to murals to custom surfboards. North Coast Rep: A Gentleman’s Guide…
Closes Aug. 24. The winner of the 2014 Tony Award for “Best Musical,” A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder closes on Sunday at North Coast Rep. Monty Navarro is a poor but ambitious nobody in early 1900s London. When his mother dies, he learns he is ninth in line to become Earl of Highhurst, and only eight members of the obnoxious, aristocratic D’Ysquith family stand in his way. Movie Night at Spreckels Organ Pavilion

As part of the 37th annual San Diego International Summer Organ Festival (with civic organist Raúl Prieto Ramírez as artistic director), the Spreckels Organ Pavilion at Balboa Park hosts a “Not-So-Silent Movie Night” on Monday.
