Art Comes to Life at the Museum of Art
Masterpieces by world-famous artists come to life in floral recreations at this 30th annual exhibit.
Springtime in San Diego can only mean one thing — Art Alive at The San Diego Museum of Art. Each year for the past 30 years, floral designers are invited into the galleries of the San Diego Museum of Art to interpret some of the greatest art in San Diego’s collection. These floral pieces will be shown side by side with the masterpieces that were used as inspiration. Floral interpretations can be seen of works by world-renowned artists such as El Greco, Degas, Monet and Renior. The Museum celebrates these four floral-filled days with a host of special events, including the opening celebration this Thursday, featuring a sneak peek at the flowers and tastes from several of San Diego’s top restaurants.
