Visit the ancient civilization of Central America and discover what chocolate meant nearly 1,500 years ago and follow its transformation into a world commodity. Explore the plant, the products, and the culture of chocolate through the science, history and popular culture. What better way to end the exhibition experience than with a bite of the sweet treat itself? On special “Chocolate Sundays,” three of San Diego’s finest chocolatiers will be on hand serving samples of their products and answering questions, giving visitors the chance taste the gourmet chocolates that San Diego has to offer. Chocolate Sundays will be held Jan. 13, Feb. 24 and Mar. 3.
