As the proud home of showbiz, Hollywood beckons millions of visitors every year with its glamour, nostalgia, and magical moments that shape their global view of American culture. At the heart of Tinseltown’s historic splendor is The Hollywood Museum, offering an immersive experience — an artful display of stories that encapsulate decades of triumphs, turmoil, and discoveries of the golden age of cinema.

The Hollywood Museum presents an organized and smartly-curated glimpse of the behind-the-scenes secrets, iconic landmarks, and kaleidoscopic star personas that brought immense pop-culture relevance to the screen world. It invites visitors to explore the glamour and allure of the Golden Age of cinema. With four floors of exhibits, memorabilia, and artifacts, the museum offers a unique and immersive experience that celebrates the rich history of Hollywood.

“The realization that everyone knows the word Hollywood put the wheels in motion to create a repository in a very special location that would tell the story of Hollywood’s entertainment industry. With this in mind, I was thrilled to once again have the opportunity to share the very popular subject of Hollywood entertainment through the Hollywood Museum with locals and tourists from around the world who not only enjoyed this subject, but wanted to learn more. I set out trying to find the most iconic building on Hollywood Boulevard or adjacent to it that evoked the history of Hollywood.” said Donelle Dadigan, the Hollywood Museum’s founder and president, interview with Forbes Magazine.

One of the museum’s main attractions is the Marilyn Monroe exhibit, which features an extensive collection of the iconic actress’s personal belongings, including dresses, jewelry, and letters. Visitors can also view rare photos and videos of Monroe, providing an intimate look into her life and career.

Another must-see attraction is the Max Factor exhibit, which showcases the legendary makeup artist’s innovative techniques and tools that transformed Hollywood’s leading ladies into screen sirens. The exhibit includes vintage makeup products, photos, and costumes worn by stars like Lucille Ball, Judy Garland, and Elizabeth Taylor.

For fans of horror and sci-fi films, the Hollywood Museum’s Dungeon of Doom exhibit takes visitors on a journey through some of the most iconic horror and sci-fi movies of all time, with life-size models of iconic characters like Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and the Alien queen.

Finally, the Hollywood Museum’s tribute to the Academy Awards is a great experience for any film buffs and cinema history lovers. The exhibit features original Oscar statuettes, rare photos, and videos, as well as costumes worn by some of the most famous stars on Oscar night.
