San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival
Nov. 14-18. SoCal’s largest wine and food fest is a five-day epicurean experience that includes cooking classes, “The Vault” tasting of reserve wines, a star-studded celebrity chef luncheon and an urban wine tasting and San Diego food truck event. The Grand Tasting on Saturday, Nov. 17, is the festival’s largest event and features libations from 200 wineries and breweries from around the globe, food from 70 of San Diego’s most notorious chefs and restaurants, arts and the festival’s “Chef of the Fest” competition. Nov. 18. This 66th annual parade offers a colorful day of family fun to kick off the holiday season. One of San Diego’s most prized family events, the Mother Goose Parade brings together a combination of floats, clowns, horses, local celebrities and marching bands for the enjoyment of San Diegans who flock from far and wide for the festivities. Cirque Du Soleil Dralion 
Nov. 14-18. Eastern and Western acrobatic prowess blend into one incredible, gravity defying show as the four elements that govern the natural order take on a human form in Cirque’s latest production. Thus embodied, each element is represented by its own evocative color to demonstrate the blending of cultures, and the balance of man and nature. The show’s name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West. Using a fresh mix of performing arts, multimedia and special effects, Cavalia is a tribute to the relationship between men and horses throughout history in a fairy tale setting filled with poetry and emotion. Often called an equestrian ballet, the show innovatively integrates acrobatics, dance, aerial stunts, live music and equestrian arts to capture the hearts of audiences. Faizon Love
Nov. 15-17. Actor and comedian Faizon Love broke into the Hollywood scene with his legendary performance as Big Worm in the cult classic “Friday.” Since then, he’s starred in feature films including “Money Talks,” “The Replacements,” “Elf,” “Blue Crush,” “Just My Luck,” and alongside Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau in “Couples Retreat.” Love brings his boisterous, sarcastic style to San Diego for five performances during the weekend. Listen to great local music with performances by more than 20 live bands, and enjoy beach-bar fare with an ocean view at this music fundraiser to support Rady Children’s Hospital. Ten percent of food and beverage purchases will be donated by Cardiff Beach Bar at Tower 13 and generously matched by an anonymous donor to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit run by Rady Children’s Hospital at Scripp’s Encinitas. 11 a.m.-midnight. Carols by Candlelight 
Nov. 17. American Idol finalist and San Diego native Jessica Sanchez will give an exclusive performance at this annual tree lighting ceremony hosted by Channel 93.3’s Geena The Latina. Also catch performances by the San Diego’s Children’s Choir and San Diego Civic Youth Ballet, as well as The Body Poets, as seen on America’s Got Talent, before taking photos with Santa, who will also be in attendance.
