San Diego Padres Home Opener
Mar. 29. Head over to Petco Park to watch the San Diego Padres take on the Milwaukee Brewers. Enjoy the open-air stadium while you indulge in ballpark eats. All fans in attendance will receive an Opening Day hat. 1:10 p.m. Check website for ticket prices. Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd., East Village.





East Village Opening Weekend Block Party
Mar. 30-31. This annual event has become a San Diego tradition where locals and visitors celebrate Opening Day at Petco Park while exploring downtown’s East Village. Highlights include live entertainment from local bands, a kids area with baseball-themed games and a craft beer garden also featuring cocktails. F 2-8 p.m., Sa noon-6:30 p.m. Free. J Street between 6th and 10th, East Village.  




Mission Valley Craft Beer & Food Festival
Mar. 31. Head to Mission Valley for unlimited samples of beer, spirits, food and a commemorative tasting cup. Expect 20 local eateries, nine distilleries and 40 breweries as well as live music and entertainment. 21+. VIP noon-5 p.m., GA 1:30-5 p.m. $55 pre-sale GA; $85 pre-sale VIP; $70 GA; $90 VIP. Uncorked: San Diego Wine Festival
Mar. 31. Come one, come all to the third annual fest at scenic Marina Park North featuring over 60 wineries highlighting more than 200 wines from around the globe. Expect a champagne bar, local ciders, gourmet food trucks, lawn games, a live DJ and a fun atmosphere to sip and savor with friends. 21+. 1-5 p.m. Embarcadero Marina Park North, 400 Kettner Blvd., San Diego. 




Easter Bunny Teas
Mar. 30-31. Bring the little ones to enjoy kid-friendly petit-fours and mini pastries paired with a traditional European afternoon tea. Families can partake in an Easter egg hunt on the Riviera Terrace, watch a magical performance by a festive magician and meet the Easter bunny. 2:30-5 p.m. $50 adults, $35 children 12 and under (excludes tax, gratuity and ticketing fee). Easter Egg Hunt
Mar. 31. The kids will love searching around the Children’s Nature Retreat to find lots of hidden candy-filled eggs. A 10-pound bunny named “Easter” will make an appearance and will talk about where he came from and how he is now one of 10 bunnies that call the Retreat home. 10:30 a.m-12:30 p.m. Free with admission. Spring Eggstravaganza
Mar. 31-Apr. 1. Celebrate the arrival of spring and the changes it brings by joining the Birch Aquarium for the biggest Eggstravaganza ever. Explore animal eggs, create a shark egg craft and participate in an “underwater egg hunt”—no basket needed. Don’t miss free face painting and special appearances by Scuba Bunny at the special Eggstravaganza-themed dive shows. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Included with aquarium admission. KnB Cocktail Liberation Dinner
Mar. 29. Chef Miguel Valdez (formerly of The Red Door) will be creating a four-course, prix-fixe dinner for this pop-up event at KnB Bistro. Expect a communal dining experience complete with craft cocktail pairings from lead bartender Albert Allison of Liberty Call Distilling. Nemr at Balboa Theater

Mariachi Reyna
Mar. 31. Enjoy a special, one-day only concert by the internationally acclaimed all-female mariachi band, Mariachi Reyna. Coming down from Los Angeles, they will be performing in Copley Plaza. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Free. The Old Globe, 1363 Old Globe Way, San Diego.
