Julian Grape Stomp Festa
Sept. 6. Celebrate the changing of seasons surrounded by apple orchards and vineyards at this annual festival. San Diego Blues Festival
Sept. 6-7. Grab a blanket and head to the Embarcadero to listen to the smooth sounds of Jazz performers such as Eric Burdon & the Animals, Elvin Bishop, Tommy Castro & the Painkilllers and Blues Hall of Famer Lazy Lester. San Diego Music Thing
Sept. 12-13. The seventh annual two-day music and media conference features panel discussions, workshops and mentoring sessions all focused on the music business. San Diego Bay Fair

Coronado Art Walk

Bright Star
Sept. 13- Nov. 2. Billy Cane, a young soldier just home from World War II, meets Alice Murphy, the brilliant editor of a southern literary journal. San Diego Chargers
Ongoing. The Chargers host the defending Super Bowl Champion Seahawks in their home opener on Sept. 14. and return home Sept. 28 to host the Jacksonville Jaguars. San Diego Festival of Beer
Sept. 19. The 20th annual festival features live music and samples from more than 60 different microbreweries including AleSmith Brewing Co, Green Flash, Lagunitas, Modern Times, and Stone. $40.
