July 22. Head to the OC Zoo for a day of animal-lovin’ fun. On Zookeeper Appreciation Day, enjoy a day full of children’s activities in celebration of zookeepers and zoo volunteers. In addition to fun games and crafts, learn from zookeepers about their jobs and see them give special treats and toys to the zoo animals. At 10:30 a.m., catch a special presentation from two of the zoo’s zookeepers, called “So You Want to Be A Zookeeper,” where you’ll learn the ins and outs of a zookeeper’s day and meet select zoo animals up close.
