Faith & Flower, downtown’s newest dining destination, is taking the city by storm, bringing together cuisine from Executive Chef Michael Hung (San Francisco’s Michelin-starred La Folie), cocktails from mixologist Michael Lay (Restaurant 1833, Rose.Rabbit.Lie.) and desserts from Executive Pastry Chef Ben Spungin (Bernardus Lodge).

And if the A-team inside the kitchen isn’t enough to pique your interest, the space should. Within walking distance to Staples Center and L.A. Live, you can dine in an ambiance that perfectly personifies the spirit of downtown Los Angeles. Nosh on seasonal fare and sip on meticulously created cocktails while you gaze up at a wall made up of distressed doors collected from the 1920s, one covered in vintage hand mirrors, or another—beautifully reflecting into the bar—bathed entirely by a mural of a femme fatale, painted by highly acclaimed local street artist Robert Vargas.

Expect rustic Californian fare on a menu that changes up frequently. Current highlights include eggs Benedict pizza with smoked bacon, spinach and Hollandaise; oxtail agnolotti glazed in bone marrow butter and finished with a tangerine conserva; duck liver mousse tarts with grenadine-candied onion; and more.

Cocktails pay homage to speakeasies of the ’20s, and also include drinks that are a mix of modern and classic techniques. Sip choices like the Stormy Phosphate (Lost Spirits Navy rum, lime gum syrup, acid phosphate, and ginger beer), a smooth and citrusy Ben Hur (Buffalo Trace Bourbon, lemon, apricot marmalade, Italian meringue, F&F aromatic bitters), or the Olvera (Nuestra Soledad Mezcal, Cherry Heering, Zirbenz Stone Pine, Royal Combier, F&F orange bitters, Lapsang Souchong Vapor).
